Care for Polish Orphans was launched after a trip Mark and Donna Paz Kaufman took to Poland with Donna's mother in 2005 to research their family heritage. While traveling the country, we learned there were more than 700 orphanages in Poland ... and immediately began thinking how we could help.
A circle of family and friends made the first donations and we now support the children in two primary facilities that specialize in caring for children with physical and mental challenges. They are located in Tarnow (near Krakow) and in Chelmno (near Gdansk), Poland and collectively serve more than two hundred children who are least likely to ever be adopted because of their tremendous needs.
